Cyber Conflict Research Institute (CCRI)

The Cyber Conflict Research Institute conducts meaningful, leading-edge research in the field of cyber conflict to assure U.S. dominance in any cyber conflict. CCRI contributes to national cyber preparedness through the research and development of national, intellectual capacity in the field of cyber conflict. It is actively involved in assessing the interconnecting roles and missions of government and industry and recommending strategies to counter cyber threats targeting private enterprise infrastructures.

Defense Technologies Research Institute (DTRI)

The Defense Technologies Research Institute conducts research and development resulting in rapid prototyping and fielding of man-portable technologies to strengthen the effectiveness of U.S. Forces on a complex, asymmetrical battlefield. DTRI promotes research and development of advanced man-portable systems in the areas of sensors, visual augmentation systems, mobility equipment, information assurance, and force protection.

Institute for Advanced Sciences Convergence

The Institute for Advanced Sciences Convergence (IASC) provides identification, early monitoring and strategic assessment of emerging scientific advances across multiple disciplines that offer a potential for revolutionary, transformational, integrated and cross-cutting solutions, rendering chemical-biological threats ineffectual. IASC supports federal agencies by identifying opportunities for integration of breakthroughs within emerging fields such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, information processing, and cognitive sciences. This approach breaks through conventional solution methodologies and paradigms, fostering future capabilities that are simultaneously innovative, transformational and trans/multi disciplinary.

Learning Technologies Research Institute (LTRI)

The Learning Technologies Research Institute creates distance learning solutions employing new models of interactive learning, simulation, and blended instruction. Using approaches ranging from serious games to case studies, LTRI seeks cost-effective ways to create online environments that encourage active engagement and flexible learning.
